Fold a crane and make a wish!
Senbatsuru is a Japanese tradition that consists in making a thousand origami cranes to have a wish fulfilled, or to help someone get well.
FOLD AN ORIGAMI CRANE, MAKE A WISH AND SUBMIT YOUR CRANE!
When we have a thousand cranes...our wishes might come true!

THREE EASY STEPS:
1) Make an origami crane (visit my tutorial page). Take a picture of it.
2) Submit your picture and your wish (via my submission form if your picture is hosted on the web, or via email).
3) I'll post your picture and your wish here on the website, and your crane will count as one of the total 1000 that we need. Come back and have a look!
When we have 1000 cranes our wishes might come true!!

A few tips:
-When you make your crane, try to choose a paper that matches your wish (e.g. you dream of traveling to Africa, then choose an African-themed paper!)
-Try to use an original or personal background: you can take a picture or your crane sitting at the top of a tree, floating on the water, etc. Think of your wish for inspiration!
-Try to take the picture in daylight rather than in artificial light: the photo will look a lot better!
-You may submit more than one photo (as long as they are photos of different creations) or you may have more than one crane on the same photo! But please only one wish per person; be reasonable and think of your dearest wish! :)
-Don't forget to let your friends know about this project and invite them to add their creations!
How the idea came to me...
I love Japanese culture and I recently decided to create a senbatsuru (collection of 1000 origami cranes), hoping that I may have my wish granted when I'm done! Then came the idea of gathering people over the internet to share dreams and wishes by getting everyone to make one crane (or more!) and to post it at the same place, hoping to make a total of a thousand cranes.
So I created this website and with it I am hoping to get 1000 pictures of cranes in order to complete this collective wish-making project: OUR SENBATSURU!!
